Most notably, Cody once again captured Tag Team Championship gold as one-half of the multi-time title-holding Tag Team, DEATHXPROOF, with long-time friend and partner, JAKOB AUSTIN YOUNG.

Great success always comes with the risk of demoralizing failure. Since losing the FSW Tag Team Titles on November 27, 2021, at NO ESCAPE, Cody’s efforts to reclaim championship success – both individually and/or with his DeathXProof partner, Jakob Austin Young – have been met with repeated bureaucratic roadblocks and discouraging disappointments.

Cody met with yet another dishearteningly disappointing result in his unsuccessful effort to win the 2022 CASH IN THE CASE LADDER MATCH at FSW’s 13-YEAR ANNIVERSARY on June 19, 2022 . . .

When one has tasted success, the hunger for it never goes away. Having devoted nearly 15-Years of his blood, sweat, and soul to FSW – and knowing the sweet succulence of championship status – few can blame Cody Hancock’s frustration over his recent run of bad luck is understandable.

On JULY 22 2022 – at FSW HIGH OCTANE: NEW BEGINNINGS – Cody and Jakob (as DEATHXPROOF) had an opportunity to recapture the FSW Tag Team Titles in a match against the current FSW Tag Team Champions, TBD (SHOGUN & HERO LEU).
Unfortunately, Cody and Jakob would be unable to overcome the powerful duo of Shogun and Leu – and the FSW Tag Team Titles had, once again, slipped through DeathXProof’s fingers.
