FSW STARS ARE ALL ELITE IN 2022 (PART ONE)

FSW’s STARS are ALL ELITE: FSW’s Future STARS of Wrestling Live Up To Their Name As They Showcase & Shine on AEW in 2022

They’re Not Called Future STARS of Wrestling for Nothing . . .

It’s no secret that FSW has been TRAINING and SHOWCASING Professional Wrestling/Sports Entertainment SUPERSTARS for many years.  Many FSW Talents – both former and current – have made (and continue to make) BIG IMPACTS within the top Professional Wrestling promotions on the planet.  The growing list includes KEVIN “KILLER” KROSS, CHRIS BEY, ELI DRAKE (aka: LA KNIGHT/MAX DUPRI), ZOEY STARK, SOLO SIKOA, RENO SCUM, BRIAN CAGE, TOA LIONA, and HAMMERSTONE

For the purpose of this feature, we will focus on one top promotion in particular . . .

FSW STARS ARE ALL ELITE in 2022 . . .

Throughout 2022, many FSW Talents have been sought out and featured on virtually all of ALL ELITE WRESTLING’s premier showcases – including DYNAMITE, RAMPAGE, DARK, and DARK: ELEVATION – as well as appearances and cameos at AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING in Las Vegas on  May 29, 2022.

AEW DYNAMITE – May 25, 2022 – Michelob Ultra Arena (Las Vegas, NV)

Lights Camera Faction’s ICE WILLIAMS, WATSON, ACTION BRAXTON – alongside JORDAN OASIS and GREGORY SHARPE – served as members of the American Arena Security Professionals – guiding Wardlow to the ring for his steel cage match against Shawn Spears.  After Wardlow won the match – at MJF’s behest – the Security Squad rushed the cage but were put down by the War Dog one by one.

GREGORY SHARPE was also tapped for Security Detail to escort Wardlow to the ring for his showdown with Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) at AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING

AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING – May 29, 2022 – MGM Garden Arena (Las Vegas, NV)

At AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV, while simply hanging out backstage, Lights Camera Faction’s FRESCO found himself cornered and harassed by members of The Jericho Appreciation Society for wearing a Jon Moxley t-shirt. “The Wizard” CHRIS JERICHO shot a fireball into Fresco’s face. The assault left the rising star with a black eye and bruising along the right side of his face and potentially permanent damage to his retina.

Later in the evening, the Faction also scored a backstage meeting with the “World’s Strongest Man” MARK HENRY – with a smiling Henry proudly brandishing his new Lights Camera Faction shirt   . . . . which leads one to wonder if LCF’s “meeting” was actually a “recruitment” negotiation with the WWE Hall of Fame’r.

AEW DYNAMITE – JUNE 1, 2022 – The Forum (Los Angeles, CA)

GREGORY SHARPE and WISEGUY were hired as members of the Security/Protection Detail for “Smart” Mark Sterling, Esq. – who led a class-action lawsuit against Wardlow on behalf of the Security Contractors Wardlow has assaulted in the midst of his multi-week vendetta against MJF.

GREGORY SHARPE

FSW Nevada State Champion, GREGORY SHARPE competed in trios action alongside Adriel Noctis and Matt Brannigan against the Malakai Black and his HOUSE OF BLACK on EPISODE 145 of AEW DARK.  Squaring off with Black, Gregory Sharpe attempted a front kick on the Dutchman – but was dropped with a Muay Thai-style leg sweep.  Sharpe tagged in Noctis – who was utterly decimated by all three House of Black acolytes. Sharpe and Brannigan attempted to save their partner but ate a big boot from Brody King for their troubles. With all three “Blackolytes” ganging up on Sharpe, the FSW Original was taken out of the match with an assisted Gonzo Bomb –  courtesy of Brody King and Buddy Matthews.  With Noctis left all by his lonesome, Matthews snatched Noctis to deliver a vicious “Murphy’s Law” twist slam – pinning Noctis and winning the match.

MATT VANDAGRIFF

Former FSW No Limits Champion, “The Aerial Chemist” MATT VANDAGRIFF made his AEW Dark debut on June 28 2022 on EPISODE 150  – teaming up with the 6’7″ Knull to take on the team of Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solo.  Both teams were fairly evenly matched – with Matt Vandagriff and Aaron Solo being the speed and agility of their respective teams – and each having their own giants in Knull and Comoroto.  On this night, however, the unrelenting depravity of Solo and the monstrous power of Nick Comoroto would prove an insurmountable obstacle for FSW’s high flyer and his larger-than-life partner.

MAZZERATI

Former FSW Women’s Champion, MAZZERATI, made her AEW DARK DEBUT on EPISODE 128 on February 1, 2022 against Kiera Hogan.  Out of the gates, Mazzerati took it straight to Hogan – determined to show one of Jade Cargill’s “bad bitches” that she means business.  But clearly, Hogan has learned a thing or two from TNT Women’s Champion, Cargill – as she quickly turned the tables on Mazzerati with a series of vicious kicks.  Mazzerati kicked out of Hogan’s pin attempt and began to mount an impressive comeback offensive.  Unfortunately, Mazzerati’s infamous temper got the best of her as Hogan landed an aerial dropkick square on Mazz’s jaw – which set Mazz up for Hogan’s combo neck-breaker/leg drop assault.   But once again, the FSW Star kicked out and began a last-ditch offensive effort to take Hogan out.  Mazzerati landed a sold punch across Hogan’s face and attempted to “take Hogan’s head off” with a series of (missed) high kicks.  But a blindsiding roudhouse kick by Hogan would drop Mazzerati to the ring mat and allow Hogan to hook her leg for a decisive 1-2-3 pinfall.

MAZZERATI would return to AEW DARK: ELEVATION just a few months later – on May 30, 2022 (EPISODE 65) to challenge ROH Women’s World Champion, Mercedes Martinez, for the ROH Women’s World Title.  This time, Mazzerati came damn near close to becoming the new ROH Women’s Champion – at one point locking in an unrelenting sleeper hold on Martinez that nearly took the wily veteran down.  Mercedes Martinez, however, is one of the toughest athletes on the planet.  After Mazzerati impressively kicked out of Mercedes’ pin attempt – after a series of devastating repetitive boots to the head – Mercedes delivered her trademark “Execution” strike to the back of Mazzerati’s head – leaving a lifeless Mazz easy pickings for Mercedes to lock-in a gutwrenching Surfboard Dragon Sleeper – to which Mazzerati quickly submitted.

SINN BODHI

On EPISODE 148 of AEW DARK (June 14, 2022), The Warlord of Weird, SINN BODHI, teamed up with Jack Banning and Jay Rosas to take on three members of the Jericho Appreciation Society, Daniel Garcia, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard, and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker

VIVA VAN

Rising FSW Women’s Division Star, VIVA VAN, made her AEW DARK DEBUT on July 6, 2022 on EPISODE 96 when she took on the Phenom, Kris Statlander (with Orange Cassidy in Statlander’s corner)  . . .

VIVA VAN’s next AEW DARK appearance would be on EPISODE 115 on November 2, 2021– taking on the Wrecking Machine, Nyla Rose  . . .

On EPISODE 146 of AEW DARK, VIVA VAN, challenged Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez for the title.  Van landed a series of kicks on Martinez’s leg, scoring a roundhouse on the champion’s temple, but Martinez’s power and experience over Van proved too much.  Mercedes was able to get Van to submit to her “Brass City Special” for a successful title defense.

SANDRA MOONE

FSW Training Academy Graduate and, moreover, former FSW WOMEN’S CHAMPION, SANDRA MOONE, made her AEW DARK DEBUT on EPISODE 145 (May 28, 2022) – taking on ANNA JAY in singles action.   Moone was quite impressive as she stood toe-to-toe with Jay throughout much of the match.  Ultimately, Moone would submit to Anna Jay’s “Queen Slayer” sleeper . . . but a most valiant effort on the part of the former FSW Women’s Champ.

WISEGUY

FSW Competitor, WISEGUY (aka: Nick Ruiz), made his AEW DARK DEBUT on EPISODE 148 on June 14, 2022 – taking on The Factory’s Anthony Ogogo.

DANIKA DELA ROUGE

Also on EPISODE 146 of AEW DARK, FSW Women’s Division regular, DANIKA DELLA ROUGE, faced Jamie Hayter.  Hayter’s rage was put on full display as she tossed Della Rouge around the ring with hair pulling and forearm clubs.  Putting Della Rouge away with a Ripcord Lariat, Hayter made short work of Della Rouge.
