FSW’s Biggest Prize Could Be Powerhouse Tag Team’s Ultimate Demise
Once inseparable FSW Tag Team Champions, it’s now every man for himself as SHOGUN and HERO LEU compete for ICE WILLIAM’s FSW Heavyweight Title at FSW’s 14-YEAR ANNIVERSARY
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE . . .
On June 18 2023 at the Veil Pavillion within Las Vegas’ Silverton Casino & Resort, former FSW Tag Team Champions, TBD – aka SHOGUN & HERO LEU – are TO BE DETERMINED as they each head into a triple-threat title match for the FSW Heavyweight Championship against current Champion, ICE WILLIAMS.
But with only ONE man able to emerge as FSW Heavyweight Champion – Las Vegas wrestling’s top prize – is TBD’s destiny TO BE DOOMED ???

The origins of TBD is one that has certainly had a long and interesting evolution . . .
GENESIS OF A TAG TEAM
In October 2019 – at FSW’s annual and entertaining Halloween event, Shogun and Hero Leu entered the ring dressed as WWE legendary Tag Team, “The Acolytes.” This marked the first time Leu and Shogun had teamed up. The pair’s performance drew rave reviews and, almost immediately, there was a buzz throughout the FSW Fandom wanting to see more tag team matches involving the pairing of Shogun and Hero Leu.
But the FSW Fans would have to wait, because just a few months later – in March 2020 -Shogun would win the FSW Tag Team Titles with non-other than FSW Hall of Famer and TNA/ROH Superstar, Kenny King, at FSW MECCA VI.
And then … a pandemic hit and the world shutdown . . .
A PARTNERSHIP BATHED IN DESTINY
After an unanticipated long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FSW returned to action in late 2020. With his Tag Team Champion partner busy winning Tag Team gold in Ring of Honor – and thus unable to regularly defend the FSW Tag Team Titles together – Shogun found himself returning to singles matches. Also returning to compete, however, was the 2019 Rookie of the Year, Hero Leu- and the two would eventually start to test the competitive waters as a Tag Team.
As Hero and Shogun continued to develop and improve as Tag Team competitors, FSW Management began to take notice. On January 30, 2021, the team of Shogun and Hero faced The Unguided (Damian Drake and Matt Vandagriff), who would steal the victory with the help of a baseball bat.
Not to be discouraged by the controversial defeat, Hero and Shogun would go on to defeat the team of Action Braxton and Fresco in February 2021. To many within the FSW Fandom, it began to look like this new Tag Team force was on their way to great things.
THE RETURN OF THE KING
In March 2021, Shogun’s Tag Team Champion partner, Kenny King, returned to FSW and declared himself ready to defend the titles to all-comers. But the reignited duo of King and Shogun would be short-lived, as the team dropped the Tag Titles to THE UNGUIDED at FSW HIGH OCTANE on March 27.

Visibly disappointed by the loss of the titles he had held for over a year, a distraught Shogun took out his frustrations on Kenny King – leaving his now former Tag Team partner laying bruised and broken in the ring.

Following the loss, Shogun would take some time away from the squared circle to re-evaluate his goals and future.
THE SHOGUN-HERO CONNECTION
Late Summer 2021 would see the return of Shogun with a renewed vigor and focus . . . and by his side, the Samoan Southpaw, Hero Leu. The reunited duo would soon find themselves earning a marquee match at FSW SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST in September 2021 – teaming up with NINO BLACK in a 3-on-4 Handicap Elimination Match against LIGHTS CAMERA FACTION (Action Braxton, Fresco, Watson, and Ice Williams). In the end, the numbers advantage would prove too much for Shogun, Leu and Black – with LCF stealing the victory.

It wouldn’t take long, however, for Hero and Shogun to exact some payback upon the unscrupulous LCF. In October 2021, Hero and Shogun demanded a 2-on-2 match against LCF’s Braxton and Fresco. At FSW HIGH OCTANE on October 2021, FSW Owner, Joe DeFalco, granted the duo’s wish. With a big boot that nearly launched Action Braxton’s head all the way to Hollywood, the team of Shogun and Hero Leu defeated Lights Camera Faction and began turning heads as they began their climb up the FSW Tag Team Division ladder.

Over the next several weeks, the FSW Championship Committee took notice of Shogun and Hero’s growing list of victories and decided the team was ready for an FSW Tag Team Title opportunity. At FSW NO ESCAPE in November 2021, Shogun Hero found themselves in a FSW Tag Team Triple Threat Title Match against the Tag Team Champions, DeathXProof, and the behemoth duo of TOKO USO.

Despite an epic hard-fought battle, Toko Uso would overpower Cody Hancock of DeathXProof to become the new FSW Tag Team Champions.

However, rather than retreating in disappointment from the loss, the team of Shogun and Hero appeared to be more motivated than ever to continue to prove themselves a formidable force within the FSW Tag Team Division.
THE BIRTH OF TBD
Continuing to rack up impressive wins over the likes of Los Suavecitos and Greatness & Tenacious, Shogun and Hero started to show signs of dominance within the FSW Tag Team Division – so much so that they deservedly earned themselves a spot in the Triple-Threat Tag Team Turmoil match at FSW MECCA VII (February 4 2022) against Sky High and the former Tag Champs, DeathXProof– the winner to be declared #1 Contenders for the FSW Tag Team Titles.
It was at MECCA VII where Shogun SOS and Hero Leu would introduce themselves to the FSW Fandom as TBD.

While no titles were on the line, both Sky High and DeathXProof were champions for other promotions – so a pin or submission over either would be a significant statement. At one point in the match, both Hero Leu and Shogun launched their super-heavyweight bodies over the top rope and onto their opponents outside the ring.

With both members of DeathXProof left dazed and confused outside of the ring – and in a skillfully coordinated effort – TBD would deliver dual powerslams upon both Robbie Lit and Mondo Rox of Sky High for the pin and a date with Toco Uso as the #1 Contenders for the FSW Tag Team Titles.

A DAY OF RECKONING . . .
On the one-year anniversary of Shogun SOS losing the Tag Team Titles at Day of Reckoning 2021, it seems only fitting that his and his partner, Hero Leu’s, journey to challenge for the FSW Tag Team Titles would come full circle at FSW DAY OF RECKONING 2022.
Only this time, they would be facing one of the most powerful and dominating duos in FSW history in TOKO USO (TOA LIONA & JUICY FINAU). If that weren’t enough of a mountain to climb, TBD would have to contend with Toko Uso’s unscrupulous MK Army General, MK, circling outside the ring.
In an all-out war that started outside of the ring and into the capacity FSW Arena stands, TBD found themselves facing seemingly insurmountable odds toward taking the FSW Tag Team Titles from the Samoan Juggernaught duo of Liona and Finau. At the height of the match, the lurking MK lured Shogun away from the fight – opening him to a sneak attack by the 400+ lb Juicy Finau. Toko Uso then pulled out a door from under the ring with the words “Fuck TBD” spray painted on it. As Finau set the door up, he and MK had some sort of disagreement – leading to Finau getting thrown through the door courtesy of a devastating Samoan Drop from Hero Leu. MK then accidentally smashed Liona in the face with one of the Tag title belts, leading to a Shogun/Hero double team roll-up on Liona for the 1-2-3 . . .
. . . and NEW FSW Tag Team Champions . . . TBD

After the match, the now-former Champs, Toko Uso, showed respect for the new Tag Champions with both a congratulatory handshake and embrace.

The powerhouse duo held the FSW Tag Team Titles for an astounding 308 DAYS – defeating such formidable teams as KEVIN KOA & ELDON FINAU, LOS SUAVECITOS, THE MASON DIXON LINE, and FSW Legends DEATHXPROOF.

At MECCA VIII, TBD would successfully defend their Tag Titles against former WWE Superstars CARLITO & CHRIS MASTERS.

In December 2022, at FSW’s annual Holiday event SEASONS BEATINGS, TBD successfully defended their titles in a FATAL FOUR-WAY GAUNTLET MATCH against three top of FSW’s Tag Teams in SKY HIGH, LOS SUAVECITOS, and THE REGULATORS.

EPISODE I – THE FACTION MENACE
On June 19, 2023 at FSW’s 13-YEAR ANNIVERSARY inside the Silver Nugget Events Center, TBD was tasked with defending their FSW Tag Team Titles against LIGHTS CAMERA FACTION members FRESCO & WATSON.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
Fresh off of his “Cash In The Case Ladder Match” win earlier in the evening, LCF co-founder, ACTION BRAXTON, strolled down to the ring with his newly acquired “Cash in the Case Briefcase ” Covertly handing the briefcase to Watson before hopping up onto the ring apron to distract the Referee and allow Watson to use the case to inflict a final blow upon TBD and “win” the FSW Tag Titles, LCF’s plans were thwarted when, instead, Watson got blasted Shogun’s size 13” boot to Watson’s skull.
Having seen what LCF were trying to do, Shogun picked up the Briefcase and wound up to deliver a “final blow” of his own upon an already dazed-and-confused Watson. However, the Referee turned around and saw Watson laid out on the mat. Assuming Shogun had used the Briefcase as an illegal foreign object, the Referee called for the bell and declared LCF the winners via disqualification.

Of course, as the titles can only change hands via pinfall or submission, TBD retained their FSW Tag Team Titles.
EPISODE II – ATTACK OF THE FACTION
In the aftermath of their initial match-up at FSW’s 13-Year Anniversary, and over the course of the next several months, Lights Camera Faction continued to be a thorn in the side of the Tag Champs.
So at SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST on August 21, TBD enlisted the assistance of (then) FSW Heavyweight Champion HAMMERSTONE to face the full LCF Faction in a 4-on-3 handicap match.
Photos Credit: Ryan West / G Scoop Boxly
Perhaps in a foreboding foreshadow of what was to come – for both Hammerstone and TBD – a conniving combination of the numbers game and a series of “questionable” tactics by The Faction proved to be too much for the FSW Champions as Lights Camera Faction, once again, emerged victorious.

EPISODE III – REVENGE OF THE FACTION
The epic conflict saga of TBD and LIGHTS CAMERA FACTION would come to its ultimate climax on January 29, 2023, inside the Silver Nugget Events Center at FSW NO ESCAPE – when, LCF’s FRESCO & WATSON (with ACTION BRAXTON at ringside) would get one more bite at the apple as they challenged TBD for the FSW Tag Team Titles.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
It would be a battle for the ages – with all four Ring Warriors executing arrays of devastating assaults upon their opponents with clear intent to put an end to their months-long war. Ultimately, it would be a carefully executed LCF misdirection and a game-changing miscalculation on the part of Hero Leu resulting in Hero accidentally spearing his own Tag Team Partner.

Quick to capitalize on the Tag Champ’s confusion, Fresco & Watson delivered their patented “Faction Up’” finisher – incapacitating Hero long enough to secure the Referee’s full three count and become the NEW FSW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS !!!

Rather than check on his partner, a visibly frustrated Shogun walked to the back . . . alone.
EVEN MORE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD FOR THE FACTION . . .
On this same night, in the MAIN EVENT, LCF’s ICE WILLIAMS’s 14-month-long pursuit of reclaiming FSW Championship Gold came to fruition as “The Coldest Wrestler on the Planet” managed to outwit and outrun 3x FSW Heavyweight Champion, HAMMERSTONE, by climbing over the top of a 15-foot steel cage and reaching the floor to win the FSW Heavyweight Championship and end Hammerstone’s (latest) near two-year title reign.

EPISODE IV – A NEW HOPE?
Having lost the FSW Tag Team Titles the way they did at NO ESCAPE, the FSW Meccaverse began to question the stability of the once unbreakable TBD. Would the former Tag Team Champions be able to recover, regroup, and forge forward?
The FSW Meccaverse were hoping to have their answer on February 10, 2023 at FSW GROUND ZERO – where TBD would face the veteran powerhouse team of BAD DUDE TITO & CHE CABRERA (aka THE WOLF ZADDIES).
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
Despite both teams being equally matched in size and strength, the experience factor of Tito & Che’ would prove to be the strongest element – leading The Wolf Zaddies to a decisive victory over TBD.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
This would be Shogun & Hero’s second straight loss . . . and the frustration on the faces of both Shogun and Hero Leu was anything but inconspicuous.
EPISODE V – THE MK ARMY STRIKES
On March 4, 2023 at FSW HIGH OCTANE, the Main Event was announced as a FATAL 4-WAY TAG TEAM MATCH for the FSW Tag Team Titles – with the FSW Champions, LIGHTS CAMERA FACTION to defend their Tag Titles against GREATNESS & TENACIOUS (aka: RICKY TENACIOUS & BRANDON GEE), THE REGULATORS, and the former Tag Team Champions, TBD.
However, for reasons only known to him, Hero Leu ill-advisedly accepted a separate OPEN CHALLENGE singles match earlier in the evening issued by “The Killer Instinct,” KEVIN KOA.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
Was it, perhaps, to re-ignite and/or prove himself a formidable singles competitor? Either way, The Samoan Goblin made quick work of Kevin Koa with a decisive pinfall victory.
The quick defeat did not sit well with Koa or his unscrupulous Manager, MK. With Hero’s back turned, Koa snatched a steel chair from ringside and began assaulting Leu’s back and shoulders mercilessly with the chair.
Consequently, this would leave Shogun to proceed into the Fatal Four Way Tag Titles Match – alone – against LCF and two other formidable Tag Teams vying for the FSW Tag Titles.
Photos Credit: Ryan West / G Scoop Boxly
Despite his handicap disadvantage, Shogun came very close to, once again, regaining the FSW Tag Team Titles, single-handedly, for TBD. Unfortunately, the “numbers game” odds were stacked just a bit too high for the 6’5″ juggernaut to overcome.
After yet another disappointing loss, Shogun confronted Hero about why Hero took the singles match earlier on, and why Hero wasn’t at ringside for Shogun during the Tag Title match. With barely a substantive response from Hero, Shogun walked away more confused and frustrated than ever. Sensing an opportunity to add a powerful weapon to his MK ARMY, the devious MK approached Hero Leu with “words of comfort” and an enticing proposition.
EPISODE VI – RETURN OF THE TAG TEAM(?)
With FSW MECCA IX approaching on March 26, 2023, FSW Management decided to schedule yet another FATAL FOUR-WAY TAG TEAM MATCH – this time the prize being the #1 Contendership for the FSW Tag Team Titles (to face Champions, LCF, at a later date). Given their impressive championship reign throughout most of 2022, FSW Management offered one of the Tag Team spots to TBD. It would seem that there was a glimmer of hope that the troubled Tag Team would, once again, re-ignite their bond, power, and purpose to, once again, reclaim the FSW Tag Team Titles . . .
. . . and, perhaps, for the last time in the foreseeable future.
However, TBD’s path to the Tag Titles would have to surmount three of the most formidable Tag Teams in Professional Wrestling – THE WOLF ZADDIES, THE GATES OF AGONY (TOA LIONA & KAUN), and (also former FSW Tag Team Champions) THE UNGUIDED (MATT VANDAGRIFF & DAMIAN DRAKE).
Photos Credit: Ryan West / Justin Cotterell / G Scoop Boxly
In an incredibly chaotic 4-Way melee, Shogun reached out his hand – begging for the tag from a beaten and weakened Hero. Although seeing Shogun’s outstretched hand, Hero would not tag in his Partner. Instead, Bad Dude Tito pulled Shogun down to the apron and slammed the giant into the ring post. Tito quickly slid back into the ring and, along with is Wolf Zaddie partner, Che Cabrera, hit their tag team finisher on Hero to win the match and the #1 Contendership for the FSW Tag Team Titles.
Once again, fate would not be on the side of TBD . . . and, once again, TBD’s road back to the FSW Tag Titles appeared to be “closed for repairs.”
After the match, a supremely disappointed Shogun went searching for Hero, whom he found outside seemingly “talking to himself.” Shogun, once again, demanded answers from Hero …. and once again, Hero’s response was ambiguous at best.
INTERLUDE
At the following HIGH OCTANE on April 14, 2023, it was time for Shogun to get answers from his long-time Tag Team Partner and friend. Facilitated by the lovely JENNY SANTANA, both Shogun and Hero stood face-to-face in the center of the ring to try to address their issues since the loss of the FSW Tag Titles nearly three months prior . . .
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
The only answer Shogun would get . . . “Hero’s Gonna Do What’s Best For Hero.”
EPISODE VII – HERO’S FORCE AWAKENS
On April 30, 2023, at FSW DAY OF RECKONING, the tumultuous saga of TBD would come to a head as FSW Management decided to put Shogun and Hero in separate singles matches – each against a member of their recent nemesis, The Wolf Zaddies.
First up would be HERO LEU vs CHE CABRERA . . . with Hero showing n inner fire and ferociousness unseen for many months – earning him the pinfall victory.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
Next up …. SHOGUN vs BAD DUDE TITO
It was an “irresistible force” against an “immovable object” match up – with each man matching each other in size and strength. For much of the back-and-forth contest, it was near impossible to predict just who would be the one to emerge victorious.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
That is, UNTIL Tito’s Wolf Zaddie Partner, Che Cabrera, emerged from the back and, outside of the ring, began to assert himself wherever and however he could to lend an assist and edge to Bad Dude Tito.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
At that point, Hero Leu emerged from the back to even the odds. Perhaps overtaken by an adrenaline rush after his victory, Hero pulled out a steel chair from under the ring to use against the cheating Wolf Zaddies. However, this was not how Shogun wanted to win his match. As he tried to pull the chair away from Hero, the chair abruptly snapped loose and struck a charging Tito Escondido.
Photos Credit: G Scoop Boxly
Having seen the whole scenario, the Referee called for the bell and awarded the match to Bad Dude Tito va Shogun’s DISQUALIFICATION.
Needless to say, Shogun was LIVID over the loss, and Hero’s interference costing him the match . . .
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE . . .
On Sunday, June 18 2023 – at FSW’s 14-YEAR ANNIVERSARY, Shogun and Hero Leu will be together in the ring once again. THIS TIME, however, they will not beTag Team Partners . . . . THIS TIME they will not be competing for an ordinary singles victory . . .
THIS TIME, they will be competing AGAINST one another for the FSW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP . . . . ICE WILLIAMS’ FSW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whatever issues Shogun and Hero Leu have with each other . . . Whatever lingering animosity toward the other each carries with them into this Sunday’s match . . . However badly each wants to defeat the other . . . There’s something even more important Shogun and Hero will need to remember when they step into the ring with the goal of relieving “The Coldest Champion On The Planet” of his FSW Heavyweight Title . . .
ICE WILLIAMS IS NEVER ALONE . . .
