Kal Jack On A Grudge Match Collision Course With Bret The Threat

After Months of Antagnotistic Taunts & Sneak-Attacks by Bret The Threat, “Grizzly” Kal Jak Is FINALLY Getting What He Wants

POKE THE BEAR

To intentionally make or try to make someone angry or offended, especially someone more powerful than you.

There are many adjectives that can accurately describe one BRET THE THREAT  . . .
Arrogant … Egotistical … Narcissistic … Self-Absorbed … Braggadocious … Hotheaded ...

But based on Bret’s recent unrelenting obsession with a certain 6ft 7in / 260 lb MONSTER, perhaps there are a few more to add to the list.   RECKLESS . . . ILL-ADVISED . . . FOOLISH.

FSW Kal Jak

WHO IS KAL JAK?

It would be difficult for most anyone within the FSW Meccaverse over the past year to not know who Bret The Threat is – he has made quite certain of that.

But who is KAL JAK?

A stand out Collegiate Wrestler at Oregon State University from 2008-2012, JAK was the 2011 PAC-10 HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION and advanced to the NCAA Wrestling Championships four times at Oregon State – earning All-American status as a senior in 2012.

“Grizzly” KAL JAK began his Professional Wrestling career in late 2012. After spending a brief period on the Independent scene, Kal was scouted by Gerry Brisco and signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2013 – performing on the NXT Brand as CAL BISHOP.  Cal worked primarily untelevised events during his time in NXT, though he did appear on-screen periodically for tag team matches. In December of 2014, he worked his final NXT match against Solomon Crowe, now known as SAMI CALLIHAN, before returning to the Indies as “GRIZZLY” KAL JAK.

BRET  . . .  A THREAT

Like him or despise him, there is no denying that Bret The Threat not only excudes a monumental degree of cockiness and confidence … but he has training and the skills to back it up.

With a foundational background in Mixed Martial Arts – which includes years of training under the tutilege of Ju Jitsu Masters, Cristobal Chavez and Casey Halstead – Bret established his presence early on as a formidable mat grappler and submission expert.

FSW Bret The Threat MMA Training

Bret moved from El Paso, Texas to Las Vegas, NV in February 2020 where he not only continued his hardcore MMA training but – much to the chagrin of the FSW Meccaverse – found and insisted his way into the FSW Training Academy on Harrison Drive with a goal to expand and solidify his skills as not just “a” Professional Wrestler … but THE Professional Wrestler.

Bret’s FSW debut in March 2021 would be nothing short of a Trial By Fire – with his first opponent being none other than FSW Grand Slam Legend, REMY MARCEL.   Since then, Bret has targeted the entire FSW ROSTER and has taken on some of the toughest competitors that FSW has to offer.

But Bret’s latest target obesession is one he might want to think twice about . . .

A BURNING BRIDGE TOO FAR . . .

Bret The Threat’s issues with Kal Jak began on March 5 2022 at FSW HIGH OCTANE – at which Bret The Threat was booked to wrestle FSW’s 14 year-old sensation, BODHI YOUNG PRODIGY.   Despite an impressive effort, Bodhi was unable to overcome the 100+lb weight advantage and striking skill of Breat The Threat.

After he had already won the match, the diabolical Bret decided he wanted to send a message to both the FSW Roster and FSW Management and began a vicious post-match beat down upon the young sensation in the middle of the ring.

Little did Bret know that sitting in the stands was the former PAC-10 Wrestling Champion/NXT Superstar – and young Bodhi’s good friend – “GRIZZLY” KAL JAK . . . .

. . . and Kal wasn’t about to sit idly by and watch Bret bully and brutalize his young friend.

After Bret The Threat’s actions at HIGH OCTANE – as well as the subsequent taunts and (sans Kal Jak) call outs – the guantlet had been thrown and Kal Jak would get his chance to avenge Bret’s assault on Bohdi at FSW DAY OF RECKONING.

A DAY OF RECKONING  . . .

After the beat down levied upon his friend Bodhi at the last High Octane event, “Grizzly” Kal Jak was looking to exact revenge and shut Bret The Threat up once and for all.

FSW Day of Reckoning 2022 Bret The Threat vs Kal Jak

Kal focused on using his size and power to overwhelm The Threat, while Brett focused on weakening the left leg of the giant Jak to try to get the win. In the end, it would be Kal Jak’s approach that would prevail with a thunderous power slam upon Brett The Threat for the 3-count.

After the match – with Jak’s back turned – Brett The Threat attacked Jak with a steel chair and proceeded to beat down the injured giant … rendering Jak lifeless on the mat with a boisterous and gloating Bret The Threat standing over him.

Bret The Threat had won the battle … but the war is far from over.

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY  . . .

Fast forward to May 7 2022’s FSW FUTURESHOCK.  Bret The Threat faces and defeats Phoenix’s JON WOLFGANG after distracting the Referee and dispicably delivering a low-blow back-kick on Wolfgang – rendering Wolfgang writhing in pain and ripe for one of Bret The Threat’s many submission holds.   After the match – as usual – a narccisitic Bret The Threat grabbed hold of a mic and began to “educate” the FSW Fans about how “great” he is.

But as if his self-aggrandizing wasn’t enough – Bret then decided to re-open pandora’s box and began to verbally lambaste Kal Jak – going so far as to label Kal Jak a coward for not stepping up again sooner to face him.  Of course, it was the understanding of the over-the-top cocky Bret The Threat that Kal Jak was not present in the Arena at the time.

WRONG !!!

Much to Bret The Threat’s shock and aew, Jak’s music hit and out stormed the 6’7″ behemoth – making a B line for the loud-mouth “Threat.”  Realizing the HUGE miscalculated mistake he had just made, Bret  removed from the ring and out of the Arena post-haste – barely escaping the enraged grasp of a very agitated Grizzly.

THE FINAL STRAW  . . .

On June 4 2022, at FSW HIGH OCTANE: CALM BEFORE THE STORM, it was Bret The Threat teaming up with the unhinged GREGORY SHARPE to face the team of Kal Jak and the FSW Nevada State Champion, REMY MARCEL.   As arrogant and cocky as ever, Bret did everything he could to avoid clashing with his arch nemesis, Kal Jak.  When Kal would be tagged in, Bret would either quickly tag himself out or – even more quickly – roll out of the ring to escale the Grizzly’s grasp.  When he finally DID get his hands on Bret, Kal’s effort would be short-lived as Gregory Sharpe would “save” Bret via a series of viscious steel chair shots to Kal’s back.   With the match having fallen completely apart, the Referee called for a double-disqualification.  With Marcel temporarily taken out of the equation, Bret and Sharpe coordinated a brutal beat down of the injured Kal Jak  . . . that is, until Marcel reappeared with his trademark shovel in hand to chase Sharpe and Bret away.

But the damage had been done . . .

THE STAGE IS SET . . .

After months of antagonistic taunts and sneak-attacks by Bret The Threat, The Grizzly is FINALLY getting what he’s been wanting  . . . a ONE-ON-ONE SUBMISSION-ONLY GRUDGE MATCH with Bret The Threat – and it’s happening on JUNE 19 2022 at the FSW 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY event at the Silver nugget Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.

FSW 13 Year Anniversary Bret The Threat vs Kal Jak

NOWHERE TO RUN  . . .

Whether he likes it or not, Bret The Threat is now contractually required to stand face-to-face and go toe-to-toe with the man he’s been desperately and repeatedly trying to avoid – at least face-to-face. Despite the inevitable confrontation, however, the insanely egotistical Bret The Threat incessantly continues to poke the bear and antagonize an ever-increasing volitile Kal Jak – be it outside he ring (where he can make a quick escape) or via the “safety” of social media . . .

Will this be the final chapter in the saga of Bret v Jak ?? . . .  WATCH IT UNFOLD LIVE on JUNE 19 2022 at the FSW 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY !!!
