Two of FSW’s GREATEST will go NO HOLDS BARRED at FSW’s 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY for the FSW Nevada State Title

Since its inception in 2018, the FSW Nevada State Championship has been won and held by some of the greatest names in FSW – including GRAVES, SEFA FATU, DOUGLAS JAMES, and HAMMERSTONE.   

But there’s one individual who has held the coveted title cumulatively longer than any other – and in doing so has cemented his name as the ONLY GRAND SLAM CHAMPION IN FSW HISTORY . . . FSW Original/Legend and Locker Room Leader, The 86’er REMY MARCEL. 

Marcel won the Nevada State Title on March 27, 2021, at FSW DAY OF RECKONING as one of the finalists of a months-long Tournament for the title – which had been vacated by the prior Champion, DOUGLAS JAMES.  

Having secured his Tournament bracket position after a series of qualifying matches, Marcel defeated NICK BUGATTI and NINO BLACK to reach the Tournament Finals on March 27, 2021.

His Opponent  . . . None other than the Supersonic Speedster, HYPERSTREAK (aka: GREGORY SHARPE) who – after competing at FSW for over 11 years, had yet to taste championship gold.

THE SPARK THAT IGNITES . . .

The stakes were as high as they could be for BOTH men.  For Hyperstreak, victory would mean his FIRST EVER championship title in 11 years with FSW.   

For Remy Marcel, winning the FSW Nevada State Title would solidify his legacy as the FIRST and ONLY GRAND SLAM CHAMPION in FSW HISTORY – having been a prior FSW Heavyweight Champion, FSW Elite Champion, FSW Tag Team Champion, and FSW No Limits Champion over his own 12-year tenure with FSW. 

It was more than a match . . . It was a WAR . . . one that brought both men to their absolute limits as each fought for that which meant most to them.

Although resorting to less than conventional methods, Remy Marcel became the new FSW Nevada State Champion and cemented his legacy as the first and only FSW Grand Slam Champion.

Hyperstreak was left battered, bruised, and still wanting for FSW Championship Gold.

A SHOCKING RETURN . . . A MANIACAL METAMORPHOSIS

After having battled through multiple preliminary matches to ultimately reach the Nevada State Title Match at Day of Reckoning – only to have his 11-year quest ripped from his grasp – Hyperstreak was nowhere to be found or heard from for over 45 days  . . . until May 14, 2021, at FSW CHANGING THE GAME . . .

For YEARS as a fan-favorite hero to countless thousands around the globe, the man beneath the mask had finally reached his limit.   He’d given everything to the fans and received nothing in return.  It was time for a change – and what a change it was.  

Stripping away the persona of “Hyperstreak,” the dawn and destiny of the man … the warrior … the maniacal, GREGORY SHARPE, had begun. 

Sharpe would initially focus his rage on rising superstar and fan adored, JAI VIDAL, with a series of unprovoked attacks and matches that would ultimately lead to a brutal LAST MAN STANDING match between Sharpe and Vidal on September 24, 2021, at FSW SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST  . . . 

Sharpe would ultimately be the last man standing and defeat Vidal – adding more fuel to his explosive rage and mission of madness. 

AN UNEXPECTED TURN FOR MARCEL . . .

On that very same night, Remy Marcel successfully defended his Nevada State Title in an equally brutal FATAL FOUR-WAY HARDCORE MATCH . . .

Marcel was barely able to enjoy his victory when he would find himself the target of a sneak attack by LOS SUAVECITOS (DANNY ROSE & RICKY GOMEZ)- who viciously beat down an already battered Marcel and leave him lying in agony in the ring.  At that point, the [then] holder of the CASH IN THE CASE contract, C.L.A.S. (CHRISTOPHER LANDON ANTHONY STREETER), would seize the advantageous opportunity to cash in his open contract and “challenge” Marcel for the FSW Nevada State Title. 

Needless to say, it was anything but a “challenge” for the 100% C.L.A.S. – who easily maneuvered and pinned an exhausted Marcel to become the new FSW Nevada State Champion.

A GRAND SLAM REDEMPTION

After the vicious beating at the hands of Los Suavecitos – followed by the advantageous, yet unfortunate, loss of the Nevada State Title to C.L.A.S., it understandably took some time for Remy Marcel to recover, rejuvenate, and reinvigorate himself for his next move.   

But it would not be long for Marcel to make his intentions known to both the FSW Meccaverse and the man who robbed him of the Nevada State Title  . . . 

For the first time ever, the FSW Nevada State Championship would be defended in a 15-ft STEEL CAGE at FSW NO ESCAPE 2021.

Once again, Remy Marcel is FSW Nevada State Champion.

WATCHING  . . . WAITING  . . . HUNTING  . . . 

With Marcel regaining the Nevada State Title and looking ahead to the next eager challengers, a familiar presence continued to loom in the shadows . . .  watching  . . . waiting  . . . 

Like a panther hunting its prey … carefully watching and stalking its intended victim until the most opportune moment … so too was the maniacal Gregory Sharpe carefully calculating his plan to pick his moment and, once again, position himself for a Nevada State Title match against the man whom Sharpe had been holding an unyielding grudge against for an entire year . . .

And pick his moment he did . . . 

And trigger the Champion he did  . . . 

MARCEL v SHARPE II – A DAY OF RECKONING 

One year later – at the very event that changed him forever – Gregory Sharpe would get what he wanted . . . his long-awaited re-match with Remy Marcel for the FSW Nevada State Championship.

Was this Gregory Sharpe’s plan all along?  Would March 27 2022 truly be a day of reckoning for Remy Marcel – for what he did to Sharpe? . . . For what he took from Sharpe?

This match saw the acrobatically brutal and technical style of Marcel against the hard-hitting and devastating style of Sharpe go from the ring to fighting in the bleachers amongst the jam-packed capacity crowd. 

When the two warriors finally worked their way back to the ring, it appeared that Gregory Sharpe would FINALLY taste FSW Championship Gold as he laid out Marcel and hooked his leg for an aggressive pin.  

But just as Referee, Ben Hall, appeared to have delivered the full 3-count, Hall would notice Marcel’s foot on the ropes – prompting Hall to advise a shocked Sharpe that the count was not official and the match was not yet over. 

Believing he had finally earned the championship respect he has been seeking for years, Sharpe did not accept Referee Hall’s call well.  Instead, Sharpe laid out Referee Hall and took to brutalizing Remy Marcel with the broken shards of his kendo stick – at which point the match was ruled a “no contest.”

Needless to say, the matter between Sharpe and Marcel was FAR from over.

CALM BEFORE THE STORM . . .  SORT OF

With plans being formulated for FSW’s big 13-YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT on June 19, 2022, it was yet unknown what matches would be booked and which FSW Titles would be on the line.   On June 4, 2022, at  FSW HIGH OCTANE: CALM BEFORE THE STORM, at least ONE contest would be solidified in a big way  . . . 

In the MAIN EVENT, it would be the FSW Nevada State Champion Remy Marcel teaming with “The Grizzly” KAL JAK to take on the unlikely duo of GREGORY SHARPE and the uber-egotistical BRET THE THREAT.  

As expected, this was a knock-down/drag-out buffet of violence – with no love loss between adversaries.  At the match’s climax, the 6’7″ Kal Jak looked to have the match won as he had Bret The Threat’s neck in a vice grip rear nacked choke hold – with Bret quickly appearing to fade out of consciousness. 

But before the Referee could call for the submission knockout bell, Sharpe rushed the ring with a steel chair in hand – smashing Jak’s shoulder.  Marcel immediately disappeared to the back – while Sharpe continued to pummel Kal Jack with the chair.   Confusingly, the Referee called for the bell and declared the match a NO CONTEST.

With Bret The Threat having locked in his own oxygen-denying choke hold on Jak’s throat while Sharpe continued the 2-on-1 assault, Remy Marcel reemerged from the back brandishing his new favorite weapon shovel.   Swinging the shovel without care of whom he strikes, both Sharpe and Bret clear out of the ring in retreat.

MARCEL v SHARPE III – NO HOLDS BARRED 

Remy Marcel has had enough of Gregory Sharpe’s maniacal actions.  Marcel declares that the FSW NEVADA STATE TITLE Match at FSW 13 YEAR ANNIVERSARY against Gregory Sharpe will be a NO HOLDS BARRED match – with Marcel intending this to be the final chapter in the near 18-month rivalry saga between himself and Sharpe.

THE FINAL CHAPTER ???
