BUT WHO IS CHASE BELL ???

Future Stars of Wrestling recently sat down with Chase Bell to re-introduce “The Main Attraction” to the FSW Meccaverse . . .

When/Where Did You Start Your Professional Wrestling Journey?

I started in the beginning of 2018, for a promotion called PRO WRESTLING 225 up in Baton Rouge, LA. I was actually still in college at LSU (Louisiana State University) when I found out about them, so I’d be taking classes during the day and spend all night at training till past midnight most nights.

What Did You Study At LSU?

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Physical Theatre.  At least half of the course work was taking aerial classes – a circus artform like trapeeze and acrobats you see at Cirque du Soleil shows – as a form of telling stories using our bodies instead of talking.  This type of training continues to help me a lot with my wrestling skills.

Who Were/Are Your Pro Wrestling Influences?

Oh man as a kid, my first favorite wrestler was KURT ANGLE. Four-year-old me thought he was the freakin’ coolest! On one end he was a goofball and always made me laugh, but once he got in that ring he was a BEAST! Throwing suplexes to everybody on sight! And obviously he’s an Olympian! Like come on, how can you boo him!?

Hell I’d say Kurt Angle is what influenced where I even went to high school – because when it came time for me to pick where I was going, I chose the school with the best wrestling team in Louisiana because I wanted to be just like Kurt Angle.

As I grew up, I’d find new favorites to learn more from: THE ROCK, JOHN CENA RANDY ORTON, CM PUNK, BRYAN DANIELSON, RIC FLAIR, KATSUYORI SHIBATA …  I could really go on and on.

Nowadays, I try to find something to learn from every wrestler I see, from watching old tapes to what’s on TV and online now.

When/Where Was Your First Match?

I had my first “public” match back in August 2018, for the same place that trained me—PW225. They actually booked 2 shows that weekend, so my first match was a singles match against my head coach in a small low-roof bar off the skirts of rural Louisiana – and the next night was at a middle school gym where I wrestled a battle royal in front of my family

What Is “Big Ramp Enterprises?”

BIG RAMP is not a “what” but rather a “who.” And before I can answer that, lemme list off a few names – Jimmy Hart … Paul E. Dangerously … Bobby Heenan.  Arguably some of the greatest Wrestling Managers ever … and I would include Bog Ramp among them.

Along with over a decade of experience managing many of wrestling’s top stars on their way to reaching mainstream status, he was also my first Manager. And I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be who I am, nor where I am now, if not for the years I spent learning from him inside and outside the ring. Some of the most cherished moments of my career – from winning my first championship (and even graduating with it!) to getting suplexed by UFC/WWE Veteran, DAN SEVERN – have included Big Ramp at my side.

You Also Received Training At The NJPW Dojo in Los Angeles?

Yes – In May 2019 I was accepted for the NJPW LA Dojo Summer Camps. It was 4-Day intensive training camp where about two-dozen Wrestlers of all different levels get to experience – just like the tinyest bit – of what it’s like to be a Young Lion.  That’s actually where I first met DAMIAN DRAKE – and he mentioned coming by FSW to me on our last day.

When/Why Did You Decide to Move to Las Vegas?

Once I finished school, I needed to know what was the next step in my career. From the few times I visited Vegas, I fell in love – with the weather, the atmosphere, the entertainment, ALL OF IT.

I also figured with my Degree and training in Theatre and Acting, Las Vegas seemed rather fitting for me.

It wasn’t until I shared my thoughts about moving to Vegas that every Wrestler I talked to mentioned Future Stars of Wrestling and how it’s the best Professional Wrestling Training Academy I could be at – from their Top Tier Training Staff to FSW’s Production Team.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that I was sold – and the rest is history.

How Did You and Nic Zander Begin Tagging Together?

A few months after my FSW debut, I don’t wanna say that I got lost in the shuffle, but I definitely felt that I wasn’t making the kind of impact that I should have. Around that same time NIC ZANDER was just starting out and also trying to make his rounds as a singles star. Management kinda looked at us both and thought “Maybe they can make each other better.”

So we were asked if we’d like to be a Tag Team. To be honest, I don’t think either of us really cared for the idea at first  = because come on, who actually wants to share the spotlight?  But I truly could not be more grateful for the time we spent as HEART & SOULLESS.

Yeah we had some growing pains at first and it took a few months for us to really hit our stride. But it felt like each loss or setback brought us closer together. And we went from a team who initially wanted nothing to do with the other to a unit that fought to stay together – because we knew that, together, we were our only hope at success here.

In the process, we gained the support of the FSW FANS behind us and I found one of my most favorite people to share the ring with in Nic Zander.  I’d go as far as to say that in the ring, Nic is probably the one guy that can read me like a book, and vice versa. It’ll be great seeing him again.

When/How Did You Injure Your Knee?

So I hyperextended my left knee working a battle royale back in November 2021. I was stomping a dude out in the corner; I mistimed a jump and came down on my straight leg while the ring canvas bounced up. Other than the initial shock, I didn’t think nothing of it at first until I realized I couldn’t walk out the ring. I got real lucky getting eliminated without any further damage happening to it.

Once I met up with a doctor, he diagnosed my injury as a partial tear in my Posterior Cruciate Ligament(PCL) behind my knee.

Since then, I’ve gone through rehab, physical therapy, and a lot of patience to finally come back to professional wrestling and FSW.

Now That Chase Bell is Back, What Are Your Goals at FSW?

I think that answer is pretty obvious. The landscape may have changed while I’ve been gone, but one constant in this sport is that there is truly only one goal—and that is to be Champion.

In fact, it was my debut match at FSW where I fought for the FSW No Limits Title.  Maybe I would like another chance to redeem myself?

Or maybe I want to steer in a different direction. Maybe see how the Nevada State Title picture is looking.

Or maybe, just maybe… I’m crazy enough to swim with the sharks, and chase the ultimate prize: the FSW Heavyweight Championship.

Who knows? Maybe I do . . . But I don’t want to spoil the surprise.
